Regular Sunday Eucharist is at 9:30 am
followed by coffee and social time. ![]() The Daily Office: Evening Prayer Tuesdays at 6:30 The Daily Office, which includes Morning and Evening Prayer, is the form of daily public worship of the Church. It is an ancient way to pray together going back to the Jewish practice of saying prayers at fixed times, a tradition that was taken over by the early Christians. The Evening Prayer service is introduced by a blessing of light and includes readings from the psalms, other scripture readings and prayers. Lectio Divina and Centering Prayer
Lectio Divina uses a time of meditation on a short passage of Scripture or other holy writing and listening for God speaking to us through the words of the text. Lectio Divina flows naturally into Centering Prayer, in which the mind and body are quieted in order for one's spirit to rest in the presence of the Holy One.4th Tuesday of each month following Evening Prayer Community Outreach Prayer for this month
God of Life, this month we offer our outreach prayer to you for Camp Kid Haven. We pray for the children and teens who attend this summer camp, children who live and struggle on a daily basis with HIV/AIDS/ We ask you to bless them with a week at camp that is full of fun and happiness. Bless all those who volunteer their time as camp counselors, teachers and medical care-givers, and who give of their own lives so that others may live more fully.
A Prayer for Our Church Lord God, you sent your Holy Spirit to free and empower your people to be your presence and to do your work in the world. Free and empower us here at St. Augustine's as we move forward with the planning and decision-making to build a new church for the future. Bless us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit in this process, that we may be able administrators, faithful stewards, and wise servants in carrying out the work ahead of us. Grow in us the fruits of the Holy Spirit that we may live as a community filled with your love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness and forbearance towards one another and all people. Amen
