At this time, all in-person gatherings at the church has been suspended—except Bread for Life. This weekly free breakfast will continue to be held. But, the meal and format will be changed substantially:
- our guests will not gather together inside, as such gatherings are the very conditions most likely to spread coronavirus
- we will offer a to-go bag with a breakfast sandwich, carton of juice, piece of fruit, and possibly other sides
- once a guest has received their bagged meal, we ask that they leave and eat elsewhere—again, to limit the possibility of the virus spreading
Whether your are called to serve or have a need to be served , all are welcome at St. Augustine's every Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. for one of the best breakfasts in town: scrambled eggs, egg casseroles, pancakes of all kinds, pork and beef sausages, grits, sweet breads, homemade biscuits, coffee and juice--and the most welcoming volunteers around!
Our Bread for Life breakfast program, has been going for more than 25 years. Some of our newest members have immediately joined the kitchen crew, finding this a ministry in which they particularly want to participate.
But don't hesitate to come over before our Sunday Service for nourishment and company.
If you are interested in volunteering, please email Chee Chee Mathis for details.
