Worship & Spirituality

Note that at this time, due to the threat of coronavirus, we are not gathering in-person at the church. All services, classes, and meetings will be held remotely online and by phone. To connect by phone: call: 301-715-8592 and then enter code 555-06-20024#

At St. Augustine's, spirituality is about seeking God's love, truth, and justice through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In prayer, singing, meditation, and the sacraments, we find God at work in our lives today.

Tuesday, February 26 is Ash Wednesday! Join us for "Ashes to Go" from 7:30am to 9:30am at the Waterfront Metro station (Green Line) or at noon or 7pm for a service in the sanctuary. All are welcome!

Our "main" service is Holy Eucharist at 9:30am every Sunday; we hear lessons from Scripture, sing together, listen to a sermon, and share the Lord's Supper.

We also meet each Tuesday at 6:30pm for a quiet service of Evening Prayer in the chapel.

Beginning during Lent of 2020, we also meet for Contemplative Prayer at 6:30pm each Thursday in the chapel.

Children are always welcome at our worship services. In our sanctuary, we have a special table and chairs for young ones along with activities to keep them engaged in the service.

All are welcome--please join us!
