Welcoming Children

Jesus said: "Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it."

At St. Augustine's, we welcome children and youth to join us in all that we do. On Sunday mornings, parents will find a "children's chapel" on the left side of the sanctuary. Here, on a soft rug, there is toddler-sized furniture as well as toys and activities for younger children: coloring books, stuffed animals, and colorful scarves. Parents and children may sit anywhere they choose, but we hope this space will be especially welcoming to families with young children:

We also hold Sunday School on the third Sunday of the month. During this time, children can leave the sanctuary to spend time learning together in our classroom. They then rejoin the congregation to share in Communion.

We hope that whatever age your family members are, that you will join us to seek, love, and serve God!
