A few common questions people have when visiting St. A's.
-
When does Church Start? Our Sunday services begin at 9:30 AM
-
Where do I park or what transit do I take? St. A's is located at 555 Water Street SW in Washington DC. There is ample street parking on Sunday's which is free or a paid parking garage across Water Street from the Church. We are also only a block away from the Waterfront metro station!
-
What happens during the service? St. Augustine's follows the Book of Common Prayer for the structure of our services which includes readings from the Old and New Testament, confession, a sermon, and the Eucharist. Our music is jazz-influenced traditional hymns and our worship style is relaxed. Services last about 60 minutes.
-
Can I bring my kids? Everyone of all ages is welcome at St. Augustine's. We invite parents to bring children to the service. Kids can join for Children's Chapel in the kids' room right next to the sanctuary, sit with their parents, or sit in our special children's table in the sanctuary. We love the sounds of kids in worship!
-
Do I have to be Episcopal to attend? No! All are welcome and the Eucharist is open to anyone wishing to participate.
-
What should I wear? Come as you are. Jesus loves you just as you are and so do we.
